Olympe Ensemble
Olympe Ensemble focuses on chamber music for the traverso and strings from the second half of the 18th century and the early 19th century. In particular, the musicians have a great affinity for French music composed around the time of the French Revolution. The flautist, bassoonist and composer François Devienne raised the musical standard of compositions for wind instruments in France in that period considerably. So it is high time to return our attention to his gracious, elegant music.
