Reinoud Van Mechelen & a nocte temporis
Jéliote, haute-contre de Rameau
Following Dumesny, Haute-Contre de Lully, the baroque orchestra a nocte temporis, which numbers more than twenty musicians, presents the second part of its trilogy on the haute-contre voice. The Belgian tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen, whose international career is currently taking him to dizzy heights, has jumped a little more than thirty years forward in time after Louis Gaulard Dumesny to acquaint you with the greatest haute-contre singer of all time: Pierre de Jéliote. This second concert in the series follows de Jéliote’s career through works including Rameau’s most famous pieces. A celebratory opening to the new season!
